The 2010 earthquake in Haiti took the lives of over 100,000 people and left countless homeless. While clean water in Haiti has always been an issue, the disaster left the water infrastructure greatly damaged. The people, especially in Port-au-Prince, struggled for access to the precious resource. (Star Tribune)
