Jimmy injected himself with heroin in the middle of the street in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. “I just wanted to get that in me.” He turns 63 in October and has been addicted to heroin for 28 years. He has had three heart attacks as a result. He calls heroin “the worst thing you could ever do.” He says the worst time for overdoses is when new batches cut with fentanyl come out and people die on the streets because of the strength of the new mix.
